Paul Scrivens is penning about busting the daily routine. He asks “what happens if you run your own company and you find yourself starting to fall into the same routine? What mode of escape exists for you?”
Business owners can’t cut out at 5 and leave work behind. They take it home. They take it to sleep. And when they get too busy, they get burnt repeating the critical routine because they don’t have time for anything else.
It’s a bad feeling. And it should serve as a sign that you need help. If you’re Scrivs, you can always quit and sell your companies off for cheap (I want 9rules.) If you’re anyone else, your mode of escape is to hire.
Loosing track of the non-critical stuff is dangerous – that’s typically the category where business owners hide quality of life.
